“How to Negotiate Anything” workshop will focus on giving every participant effective negotiation techniques that can be used in any business or personal situation. It will also reveal some negotiation tactics that can be used against us by experienced negotiators.
Learn how to:
- Prepare thoroughly to get exactly what you want.
- Identify the other side’s all important wants and needs.
- Use time as an ally or a tactic.
- Use proven negotiation strategies like getting the other side to commit first, withdrawing the offer, and using concessions.
We will answer such questions as:
- What is and isn’t negotiable?
- How much to negotiate?
- How do you get the other side to agree with you?
- When is Win/Win really Win/Lose?
Anyone can be an effective negotiator if they understand the key principles of negotiating.
- Get the other side to commit first.
- The power of the written word.
- Information – Know your wants and needs as well as those of the other side.
We’ll also discuss:
- Why you should ask for more than you think you’ll get.
- How to set the negotiation ceiling or floor.
- How and when to use concessions.
- Never split the difference!
