City of Cranston
The City of Cranston works to assist businesses in ways consistent with its strategic plan.
The City uses a variety of tools to assist businesseses including:
- No Wholesale Inventory Tax.
- Five-year property tax phase in for all new construction or renovation on industrial or commercially zoned property that cost between $200,000 and $1,999,999.
- Ten-year property tax phase in for all new construction or renovation on industrial or commercially zoned property that cost more than $2,000,000.
- Financing through a Revolving Loan Fund and Microloan Fund.
- Job training grants and technical assistance for business start-ups.
